During the mummification process the priests removed
four major body parts, lungs, liver, stomach, and intestines
and stored them for protection in Canopic Jars. The body parts
of the deceased were protected by the four gods known as the
Sons of Horus. They were the guardians of the Internal Organs,
also linked to the four cardinal points. Each Canopic Jar had
the head of the God that guarded that body part as a lid.

The head of the Falcon, who was the guardian of the intestines,
and associated with the West.

Imsety depicted as a Human Head, who was the guardian of the liver
and associated with the South.

Daumutef depicted as a Jackel Head was the guardian of the stomach,
and associated with the East.

Hapi depicted as a Baboon Head, who was the guardian of the lungs
and associated with the North.

These Canopic Jars will make a great addition to any collection
and can be used to guard your important items.
